The Devil is a Liar!!!

I woke up this morning and I decided to choose violence🤷🏾‍♀️. We are living in times where we have become comfortable with distorted views. Good has become evil and evil has become good. What would be considered the vilest and disgusting behaviors are attempting to become the norm. We got pedophiles wanting to be called "Minor Attracted Persons." The devil is a liar!!! What we used to see as unacceptable is now becoming acceptable. Some may call it evolution, but in reality, it is devolution. We have become comfortable watching people slowly die with demonic strongholds rather than telling them the truth. We know the very things that they are doing will lead them to death, but we stay silent. Not anymore, the devil is a liar!!!

We are literally seeing generational curses playing out before our eyes, but instead of doing the work to destroy it, we entertain it, we stroke it, and then call it love. People are out here losing children, friends, family members and we see it in the church pews and stay silent. The devil is a liar!!!

I remember having a dream years ago that reminds me of what I am seeing today. I was sitting in church with loved ones, a pastor was preaching and a disheveled man walked in, he straight up looked like hell on two feet. He sat in the pews and no one even flinched. It was as if everyone was used to seeing it. I turned to my family and asked if they saw the man. No one moved. So, I went to the man and I asked him where are you from? He responded, “purgatory.” I then woke up from the dream.

If you are not familiar with the term purgatory, it is a holding place that Catholics believe in. It’s a place you go to when you weren’t good enough for heaven, but you weren’t bad enough to go to hell. So, it becomes a holding place your family can pray you out of by providing offerings to the church. Listen, that’s a whole lie, the place called purgatory doesn’t exist, but I won’t get into church history right now. Nevertheless, the idea behind purgatory is real. In reality, we wake up in it every day and decide if we want to live free or die bound.

Right here on Earth, we see family members, friends, co-workers, people in our church walking around looking like hell on two feet, but we stay silent. We are so used to the blatant backward living. We accept it because we “love” them, but our love is not loving at all. It is poison, masked as love. The Bible is VERY clear on how that will look like:

2 Timothy 3:1-8

But know this: Hard times will come in the last days. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, proud, demeaning, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, without love for what is good, traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to the form of godliness but denying its power. Avoid these people.

For among them are those who worm their way into households and deceive gullible women overwhelmed by sins and led astray by a variety of passions, always learning and never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. Just as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so these also resist the truth. They are men who are corrupt in mind and worthless in regard to the faith.

This reminds me of a statement I heard from a woman of God the other day, she said “Holiness is still the standard,” and that stuck with me. For some reason, we have gotten to the point where we think anything and everyone is acceptable to God. As if He no longer has a standard of righteousness and holiness for those who say they believe.

Sin always has and always will be unacceptable to God. He has given us the ultimate gift through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, to no longer succumb to sin. We don’t have to give in to our fallen nature, because He gave us a way out through Christ. We can fight and overcome all forms of temptation through Him, but the keyword is fight. We are more than able to subdue and have dominion over those things the enemy uses to kill, steal, and destroy our lives. The first step is to see it, then confess it, followed by a change in our mind (repent), and then through the power of the Holy Spirit, stand against it. But, you can’t become a friend to it and then call it your enemy. We have to believe and begin to walk our faith out, not just in words but in deeds if we truly want to live free.

I really hope this wakes someone up today! We are no longer living in a time where God will wink at our foolishness. It’s getting real out here and only the real will thrive.

Ephesians 5:14-21

Get up, sleeper, and rise up from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.

Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk—not as unwise people but as wise— making the most of the time, because the days are evil. So don’t be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. And don’t get drunk with wine, which leads to reckless living, but be filled by the Spirit: speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making music with your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of Christ.
